Climate Science

From the work of individual researchers and interdisciplinary centers and partnerships, NAU has demonstrated its leadership in the field of climate science.

NAU’s climate-science initiatives are local, regional, and global in scope, and their impact is far-reaching. NAU researchers have made important contributions to world-wide efforts to understand climate, including leadership roles in the Past Global Changes (PAGES) project of the International Geosphere-Biosphere Program. A new documentary about some of these efforts was completed in 2014.

Specialized lab facilities for the study of climate (past and present) include:

Colorado Plateau Analytical Lab

Laboratory of Paleoecology (LOP)

Sedimentary Records of Environmental Change Lab

Southwest Experimental Garden Array (SEGA)
