Swimming lesson class overview
Our swimming lessons differ by age. Choose the right class for your child.
Parent-Child aquatics, Levels One and Two
These classes are designed to teach children ages six months to three years to be safe in, on, and around the water. You will learn information and techniques to help orient your child to the water and to safely supervise water activities. This class is not designed to teach children to learn to swim or even to survive in the water on their own..
Preschool Aquatics, Levels One to Three
These classes are designed for children ages three to five who are independent and comfortable in the water and can function without a parental presence. Young children develop a positive, developmentally-appropriate aquatic learning experience.
Your child will learn basic aquatic skills and rudimentary propulsive swimming movements on both the front and back. Appropriate personal safety and rescue skills are included to help children meet safety goals.
Learn to Swim, Levels One to Six
This course is designed for children ages six and up who are independent and can function without a parental presence. The LTS program teaches your child to be safe in, on, and around the water, and to swim well.
Your child will learn aquatic and personal water safety. Throughout the levels, swimmers build on basic skills to learn various propulsive movements on the front, back, and side. As the levels increase, swimmers refine the different strokes, and build endurance.
