Purchase a personal fitness assessment today for only $20.00.  Your trainer will conduct the following assessments and review your results based upon standardized fitness classifications.

Body composition

Body composition includes the following:

  • height and weight
  • hip to waist ratio
  • circumference measurements
  • body fat percentage (three-site skinfold)

 

Cardiorespiratory endurance

Cardiorespiratory endurance includes:

  • one-mile Rockport walk test
  • VT1 Submaximal talk test

 

Muscular fitness (endurance)

Muscular fitness (endurance) includes:  

  • push-up test
  • curl-up test
  • timed wall sit/leg press  

 

Flexibility and balance

Fitness and balance includes:

  • Thomas Test
  • passive straight-leg raise
  • shoulder flexion and extension
  • internal and external rotation
  • Apley’s Scratch Test for Shoulder Mobility
  • stork-stand balance test 

 
 

Additional Information

Before meeting with a personal trainer, you must fill-out our Personal Training packet, return it the Rec Center front desk, and pay for your assessment.  All funds must be paid in full at the Rec Center front desk.  We accept the following methods of payment:
