The goal of the university switchboard is to direct callers to the needed destination with the fewest connections along the way. The switchboard operators provide current information on faculty, staff, and department telephone numbers. We receive an average of 11,217 calls each month. Operators answer a variety of inquiries from local, state, national, and international callers that run the gamut from asking the correct time to requesting paternity testing for dogs. The most common question of all, "Are classes cancelled due to weather conditions?", is directed to the appropriate extension.

Hours of Operations For Directory and Information Support are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday during Fall and Spring Semesters, and 7:30am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday during Summer Sessions.
