Protect Your Paycheck and Personal Information: Avoid Becoming a Victim of Phishing

With the start of the semester human resources and the ITS security team would like to remind employees to be vigilant in protecting their information.  This time of year universities are often targeted with phishing attacks.  Phishing is the fraudulent process of attempting to acquire sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication. Phishing schemes can be used by attackers for a variety of things, including changing your paycheck direct deposit account and diverting your funds to the attacker's bank account.  Report any phishing email you receive by following the instructions on this website: http://nau.edu/its/learn/EmailPhishing/.

If you have any questions or concerns about an email you have received, call the ITS Solution Center at 3-1511 for assistance
