Advising

Connect with your adviser and register for your first classes!
Your adviser
Once you have been admitted, you will receive information
from your program about your adviser. Your adviser will be a faculty member who
will guide you through your graduate education—helping you choose courses and
complete degree requirements, supporting your research efforts, and acting as a
mentor in your field of study.
If you don’t receive this information before your enrollment
date, contact your academic department office for clarification.
Searching for classes
To search for open classes before enrolling, log in to your LOUIE account and use the “Search for Classes” button in
the upper right side of the screen.
Registering for classes
If you have been admitted, you may register for
classes mid-April to late August. You should speak with your adviser about
degree requirements before you register.
