What is Four Corners?

The Four Corners Upward Bound Math and Science Program is an intensive year round program.  Students submit assignments to the office during the academic year and those that meet performance requirements are invited to participate in a four-week academic summer component. Students may apply as freshmen or sophomores and may be served through their senior year in high school.

In the summer, students live on the Northern Arizona University campus. The summer curriculum includes math through pre-calculus and college-prep science (Biotechnology, Chemistry and Physics), English and Latin for biology. Supervised evening and Sunday activities are provided to help students feel at home in the program and meet new people.

Students are encouraged to return each summer including the summer prior to their senior year in high school.  The week after the summer component seniors participate in the "Senior Trip" to tour colleges and universities and visit science facilities to learn about career opportunities.
