Regent High Honors Endorsement (AIMS) scholarship

The AIMS scholarship was established by the Arizona Board of Regents to recognize Arizona high school students for outstanding academic achievement.  In order to qualify for this scholarship, student must:

  • have graduated from an Arizona high school
  • have Arizona residency with lawful immigration status
  • attend one of the three Arizona state universities
  • meet academic criteria as determined by the Arizona Dept of Education

Qualified students receive a full state university tuition scholarship (in state tuition only) to be used no later than the first spring semester following high school graduation. The scholarship is fixed and renewable for an additional three years based upon criteria determined by the university.  The scholarship will be awarded for the amount of tuition charged when the student would have entered the university.

Students are selected by their high school counselor.  The universities are notified by the Arizona Board of Regents, and the student is awarded shortly thereafter.

If a student is utilizing the AIMS Scholarship at one Arizona university and plans to transfer to another, they must contact the school that they are transferring to for information on the transfer process.  The university may choose not to award a scholarship to any student who receives other scholarship assistance from the university.  For more information visit the Arizona Dept of Education website

For information on reinstatements or appeals, please contact your Arizona university scholarship department.

Merit-based scholarships for non-residents

Students will automatically be considered for NAU's President's Scholarship for Non-Residents.  This is a renewable award if the student meets the criteria outlined above.  The Dean's and Merit scholarships are available for Arizona residents only.

Students participating in the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) tuition discount program are not eligible to receive the President's Scholarship for Non Residents.
