Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)

The SEOG is a need-based grant available to undergraduate students who are enrolled at least half-time, pursuing their first undergraduate degree, are eligible to receive the Federal Pell Grant and meet SAP.  Priority for the SEOG is given to those with “significant financial need” as determined by the lowest federally calculated Expected Family Contribution (EFC) from the FAFSA.

There is not an additional application for the SEOG; however, because of the limited nature of these funds it is important to submit your FAFSA by February 1st of each year and ensure that you have completed all outstanding items on your LOUIE To Do List.  It is not guaranteed that each student eligible to receive the Pell Grant will receive the SEOG.  The maximum SEOG awarded for the 2014-2015 year is $1,000.
