Grants for NAU students

You might be eligible for additional gift aid awards

Grants are money toward your education that typically does not have to be repaid. They can come from many different sources, including the federal government, state government, or from NAU itself. In general (but not always), grants are based on financial need, whereas scholarships are based on academic achievements.

Estimate your eligibility

The best way to determine your eligibility for various grants such as those listed above is to use our Net Price Calculator.

Please note: Certain scenarios may require that a portion or all of the grant funds be repaid, e.g., if you withdraw from school before finishing a semester, or if you receive a TEACH Grant and do not complete your service obligation.

In accordance with Arizona law, any person who is a citizen or legal resident of the US or who is lawfully present in the US may be eligible for specified financial aid from the university. Arizona Law classifies any person who is a US citizen or who has lawful immigration status and is an Arizona Resident as an in-state student for tuition purposes.
