Share in the celebration
As the guest of a graduate, we are honored to have you celebrate commencement with us. To ensure that you have the best experience possible, we've included a few quick tips here, for your convenience. Guest seating is open (no reserved seats), but we request no more than 10 guests per graduate attend the ceremony. Tickets are not required.
1. Find your ceremony
Check the commencement schedule to find the date and time of your graduate’s ceremony and reception.
2. Arrive early
Parking and seating will get crowded as it gets close to the beginning of the ceremony. Early arrival will ensure you don’t get stuck in traffic and that you'll have a better choice of seats. Doors will open 90 minutes before the commencement ceremony.
Parking will be available at multiple locations across campus with free shuttle buses to take attendees to the ceremony. If you plan to attend a reception on campus, we recommend that you park near the building where your graduate's reception will be held and take the shuttle to the ceremony.
Plan ahead with our parking and traffic map.
4. Meet your party outside the Skydome
Please meet your graduate outside of the Skdyome. Graduates will participate in a formal recessional leading the graduates outside of the Skdyome. Graduates and families will not be allowed on the Skydome floor following the ceremony.
5. Disability accommodations
For individuals with disabilities needing reasonable accommodation for commencement or other questions related to commencement accessibility please contact the Office of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity at 928-523-3312 or AAEO@nau.edu,
