Common Core Summit 2013
What happened at the Summit?
On Saturday, September 7, 2013, Northern Arizona University’s College of Education will hosted its second annual Common Core Summit.
The summit provided an overview of the Common Core to current and past NAU students, and offered an opportunity for genuine collaboration between practicing teachers, students, school administrators, university faculty and the general public. Additionally, examined the interrelationship of the InTASC standards, teacher evaluation, and the Common Core. Partners in this endeavor with NAU include the Arizona K-12 Center and Common Core Trainers.
Superintendent Huppenthal was our keynote speaker at lunch. John Huppenthal is the current Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction.
We would like to invite everyone to review the following resources about the Common Core.
