The College of Education Scholarship Committee is comprised of faculty from each of our 4 departments (Teaching and Learning, Educational Leadership, Educational Psychology, and Educational Specialties). The Committee meets each spring to award scholarships for disbursement in the following school year.
Scholarships payments may be split between fall and spring semester or awarded for either fall semester or spring semester. On average close to 80 students are awarded scholarships each year with an average award of $1000. For the teacher education scholarships, the committee favors awarding scholarships to students during their student teaching semester.
Scholarships can help reduce what you spend on tuition, and offset what you owe in loans later. The College of Education offers a number of scholarships to its students, but be sure to check out the university's Office of Student Financial Aid for other financing options.
