Summer Institute for Secondary Teachers 2014

Offered by the Department of Educational Specialties, College of Education, Northern Arizona University

Tuesday, June 24 – Thursday, June 26 9am-3pm each day
Location is NAU’s Mountain Campus in Flagstaff
Cost is $200 for all three days or $70 per day

Wednesday June 25: Universal Design for Learning & Differentiated Instruction
Thursday June 26: Behavior Management of Exceptional Students

The 2014 NAU summer institute is designed for secondary content teachers. Teachers will increase their repertoire of strategies to teach ALL students within their classrooms and leave with a better understanding of students with exceptional learning needs (ELN).  Content teachers are experts in their respective fields and come into the classroom as such. This workshop will assist teachers of grades 6-12 in becoming a highly effective teacher for ALL students within the classroom, including those with ELN.
