Checklist for admitted students
Congratulations on your acceptance to Northern Arizona
University. Please follow the steps below to prepare for your attendance and
arrival.
1. Are you coming to Northern Arizona University?
Complete the online enrollment form.
2. Apply for housing
Please find a place to live as soon as possible after you
are admitted.
On-campus
On-campus housing is popular and space is limited. You must apply and pay the application fee
and rent confirmation to be considered for housing by the priority dates.
Housing on campus is not guaranteed.

Off-Campus*
These off-campus options are not affiliated with Northern
Arizona University. However, if you missed the on-campus housing deadlines or
would like to live off campus, please use these additional resources for
off-campus housing:
3. Pay
your SEVIS fee
To obtain a visa, you must pay the SEVP I-901 fee, which you
can pay online or by contacting
the US Embassy in your area.
4. Apply for a student visa
Information on how to obtain a student visa can be found online.
5. Submit immunization verification
To register for classes and to help ensure the health of the
entire student population, we require verification of measles (rubeola)
immunizations for all students. The form can be found here.
6. Review
the international student guide
You can download the guide in English
or Chinese.
7. Submit arrival information
Please read over our arrival information.
8. Send final transcripts
Please forward any updated transcripts and/or exam results.
This information is needed for your permanent student record.
Please note that transfer students must submit a copy of
course descriptions and course syllabi. We strongly recommended that you provide
this material prior to arrival on campus. This information needs to be in
English and will be required by your academic adviser before your advising
session at orientation.

10. Take the math placement test
The math placement test is required only for students admitted into a major. These
students must take the ALEKS Mathematics Placement Test, unless they have
either:
- earned credit for a college-level mathematics or
statistics course with a/an:
- CLEP exam
- AP exam
- IB exam
- OR earned credit for a college-level mathematics
or statistics course (equivalent to MAT101X or higher) from dual enrollment or
transfer from another college or university.
