Joel Makower, the executive director of Greenbiz.com will provide a preview of his "State of Green Business" report - describing what's working and what's not in the growing sector of green business.
Racial Reconciliation Conference
Take part in this seminar to learn about students' lived experience of race through mediated dialogue, exercises, and quiet reflection that illuminate the impact of racialization upon themselves, others, and their relationships to each other.
Applications are due February 18, 2014. The first meeting is on Friday, April 4 from 2:30pm to 6:00pm on the NAU Campus, with a 5 day retreat on Sunday, May 11 to Friday, May 16 at a retreat center near Flagstaff.

Applied Indigenous Program Traditional Knowledge Scholar Lecture Series
This lecture series focuses on traditional knowledge from indigenous cultures. Each lecture is from 3:00pm to 4:00pm in SBS West room 200.
Wednesday, March 5th: Amaranth Workshop
We will be looking at the cultivation, demonstration of food and recipes and use of amaranth, one of the most useful and nutritional plants.
Wednesday, April 2nd: Mayan Herbology
This topic will focus on medicinal plants and useful herbs found around Flagstaff.
Wednesday, May 7th: More Uses of Medicial and Culinary Plants
This talk will demonstrate how to make tinctures for earaches and salves for skin problems.
