Applied Indigenous Program Traditional Knowledge Scholar Lecture Series

This lecture series focuses on traditional knowledge from indigenous cultures. Each lecture is from 3:00pm to 4:00pm in SBS West room 200.
Wednesday, March 5th: Amaranth Workshop
We will be looking at the cultivation, demonstration of food and recipes and use of amaranth, one of the most useful and nutritional plants.
Wednesday, April 2nd: Mayan Herbology
This topic will focus on medicinal plants and useful herbs found around Flagstaff.
Wednesday, May 7th: More Uses of Medicial and Culinary Plants
This talk will demonstrate how to make tinctures for earaches and salves for skin problems.
