Clinical Courses
Clinical coursework—or practica—provides you with hands-on
experience in various health care facilities. During clinical courses, you’ll
learn to apply theory to the practice of nursing.
Many undergraduate courses have a 9- 12 hour/week clinical
practicum, and graduate clinical practica vary with the selected track
of the MS program.
You will do clinical coursework in various locations
throughout Arizona:
- Flagstaff
- Cottonwood
- Sedona
- Tuba City
- Gallup
- various Navajo Nations sites
- Yuma
- Phoenix
- Kingman
- Other locations within Arizona
Note: You are responsible for transportation, meals, and
lodging during your clinical courses.
FMC/VVMC Clinical Forms
Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) requires that you complete
all required forms prior to attending clinical courses for the first time, as
well as annually, prior to the Fall semester. It is your responsibility to make
sure the forms are completed, including signatures and security questions.

- Student IS Form
- Student Intern Module (Quiz at End!)
- Workforce Confidentiality
- Student Parking Permit
- Any additional required forms
