Research and teaching interests

I enjoy teaching introductory geology courses and any opportunity I have to teach in the field. My research interests are crystallization kinetics (especially nucleation and growth of feldspar crystals) and processes that occur in volcanic conduits during ascent and decompression of hydrous felsic magmas.
