Grand Canyon greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory project-Northern Arizona

Billie Ford conducted the 2009 GHG inventory for Grand Canyon National Park using the National Park Service Climate Leadership in Parks (CLIP) tool. 

Architectural and Environmental Associates-Flagstaff

Jarret Childers interned at Architectural Environmental Associates, Inc. (AEA) in Flagstaff, AZ. He designed, sized, and installed roof-top solar photovoltaics (PV) systems, solar hot water systems, and rainwater catchment and grey water systems.

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-Illinois

Erin-Marie Henry worked in the Division of Mobile Source-Quality Compliance Program of the Illinois EPA responsible for enforcing vehicle emission limitations through operation of a testing program that measures vehicle exhaust.

Oak Ridge National Laboratory-Tennessee

Nevin Kohler interned at the Modeling and Synthesis Thematic Data Center (MAST-DC) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.  MAST-DC provides data management support and data products for researchers with the North American Carbon Program. The internship program at Oak Ridge is administered through HERE, or Higher Education Research Experiences.

American National Standards Institute-Washington, DC

Annikki Chamberlain worked with the American National Standards Institute's (ANSI) Accreditation Program for Greenhouse Gas Validation/Verification Bodies. ANSI offers an accreditation program for organizations providing third-party validation/verification services for the reduction and removal of greenhouse gases (GHG).

Eco-Coach, Inc-Washington, DC

Matt Cohen interned remotely for Eco-Coach, Inc., a sustainability consulting firm based out of DC. Matt worked to improve the company's greenhouse gas accounting efforts and better tie GHG accounting to their clients' energy management initiatives.

University of Maine

Chase Waddell spent his summer at the University of Maine in Orono working with the Research Group for Industrial Ecology, LCA and Systems Sustainability on Life Cycle Assessment.
