to keep you up-to-date in the field and fit your career and educational goals.
International Forestry and Conservation Certificate (IFC)
With this certificate, you will be prepared to work in geographically and culturally diverse regions
of the world. Through this program of study, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of how the
activities of humans are changing forests.

Forest Health and Ecological Restoration Certificate (FHER)
While earning this certificate, your program of studdy will include forest disturbances such as:
- Overcrowding
- Insect infestations
- Severe wildfires
- Restoration of forest health

agencies.

Would you like to understand fire behavior, prediction, and management? This certificate is ideal if
you are a student or fire professional interested in studying the ecological role of fire on:
- Soils
- Watersheds
- Air
- Flora
- Fauna
Track 1 - Undergraduate Students
With this certificate you gain knowledge and skills in the theory and practice of wildland
fire management. With this program of study you can plan the course sequence and view options
to complete the certificate.

Track 2 - Federal Agency 401-Series Students
This certificate
is specifically designed to meet federal agency 401-series requirements.
Fire professionals pursuing this certificate must be enrolled in the Federal
Agency Training Group (FFAT).

Wildlife Ecology and Management Certificate (WEM)
Through this program of study, you will gain a multifacted understanding of wildlife management - coupled
with the knowledge to navigate the social and political world of wildlife management. With this certificate
you will be prepared for competitive jobs with government agencies and other organizations involved in
wildlife management. The certificate will be especially useful for students pursuing Bachelor's degrees in:
- Forestry
- Biology
- Environmental Science

The minimum requirements in this certificate are accepted only by the AZ Game & Fish Department. You can still complete other federal agency requirements by using this WEM agency guideline.
