The Covington Who’s Who Executive and Professional Registry
selected Esthela Celaya, ’10 BS, as
a Featured Member. The Tucson-based owner and principal designer of Originate
Interior Design, LLC, Esthela successfully launched her business last year.
Overseeing all aspects of the design process, Esthela is a skilled project
manager with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Former offensive lineman Ryne Holstrom, ’10 BSED, is the new coach of Anthem Boulder Creek’s
boys basketball program, located in Anthem, Ariz. Ryne, an all-conference
player and team captain at NAU, says that growing up basketball was his true
passion. But at 6-foot-6 and 300 pounds in high school, football became the
obvious choice. Ryne hopes to eventually secure a teaching position at Boulder
Creek.
Jordan Maksymic, ’10
BS, has been promoted to offensive assistant for the Canadian Football
League’s (CFL) Edmonton Eskimos. He spent the previous two years in the
Eskimo’s video department.

NAU track athlete Jason
Pedersen, ’10 BSE, finished fifth at the Escape from Alcatraz triathalon
held in March on the San Francisco Bay. Jason, who received his Professional
card in late 2011, was featured in an interview with Slowtwitch.com. He recently joined The Triathlon Squad
and is focusing on developing sponsorships, building the buzz within the racing
community, and preparing for the next Olympics.

Elementary, fifth-grade), Marlie
(Hayden) Meza, ’07 BAILS & ’12 MED (Yuma High, biology), Sarai Robles, ’08 BSED (Arizona Desert
Elementary, extended resources), and Anne
Foley, ’11 BSED (Pueblo Elementary, fifth-grade), were selected as
finalists for the 2013 Yuma County Teacher of the Year Award. Jason McCutcheon, ’98
BA (Yuma High, welding instruction), took home the high school category
honor. Rodolfo Rodriguez, ’01 BAILS
& ’09 MED (Carver Elementary, fifth-grade), won the intermediate
(fourth-sixth-grade) award. The 2013 Yuma County Teacher of the year award went
to Jarrod Norris, ’11 BSED (G.W.
Carver Elementary, special education).
Lauren Knapp, ’12 BSACC, works a management position for Lanier
Parking Services in Atlanta, Ga. While at NAU, she served on the College
Panhellenic Council and held several leadership roles in her sorority Delta
Delta Delta. She was named to the Dean’s list numerous times and completed her
degree in three-and-a-half years.

Kingman, Ariz. native and former Lumberjack offensive
lineman Treylek Gilleo, ’12 BS, has
signed as an undrafted free agent with the New York Jets. A John C. Yost Memorial recipient, he
played in the Casino del Sol College All-Star Game in January, and was selected
for the second All-Big Sky team.

assistant. With experience in art direction, graphic design and motion
graphics, Cesar will produce digital and print projects for the local agency.
