Harry Hengl

Harry Hengl, ’76 MA (Secondary Education), taught at Kofa High
School in Yuma for 28 years before retirement in 1998, and he is currently a
partner in Western Financial, a mortgage purchasing company in Yuma. His
current community involvement includes Caballeros de Yuma, City of Yuma
Municipal Property Corporation and the Yuma Executives Association. Statewide,
he is Chairman of the NAU Foundation Board, past President of the NAU Alumni
Association and a member of the State of Arizona Scenic Parkways and Byways
Commission. Harry is past Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Yuma
County Chamber of Commerce, past President of the Yuma County Fair, past
Chairman of the Yuma County Town Hall and past President of the Yuma County
Airport Authority. Harry and his wife Maureen have two children – Melissa and
Ryan – both of whom are NAU graduates. Maureen and Harry love to travel and
spend many weeks every year in their mountain home in Flagstaff.
