Flagstaff Campus

A place where you can belong
The Flagstaff campus is surrounded by towering ponderosa
pines and is in the heart of a vibrant, welcoming mountain town. It’s simple to
get around, on foot or on a bicycle—making it easy for lifestyle and academics
to go hand-in-hand.
With plenty of individual attention from professors who
encourage you to grow, courses that expand your horizons, nearly 300 student
clubs and organizations to choose from, and myriad activities to explore off
campus, it’s an easy place to make your home.
Four seasons means one beautiful campus
The Flagstaff campus is an Arizona rarity—we have four
beautiful seasons with average summer highs from 70-80 degrees and snowy, but
mild winters.
About Flagstaff, Arizona
Downtown
The university is in the heart of Flagstaff—the cultural hub of northern Arizona. From the campus, it’s an easy walk
to downtown, where you can enjoy art galleries, restaurants, and events in
Heritage Square, eclectic shops, music venues, and coffeehouses.
In Flagstaff
There’s plenty to do within the city limits—from hiking the Urban Trail to shopping
to touring the historic Riordan Mansion to
stargazing at Lowell Observatory.
Outside of the city limits
Outside of Flagstaff, the possibilities are almost endless:
the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, the Painted Desert, and Sedona are less than
two hours away, and Phoenix, Las Vegas, Monument Valley, and Lake Powell are
within a day’s drive, too.
Keeping our environment beautiful—today, tomorrow, and beyond
When you attend Northern Arizona University, you’ll receive
a quality education and be part of improving the world around you.
In fact, many of our faculty, students, and staff have been
widely recognized as leaders in sustainable practices, and some of the greenest buildings in the country are located
right here on our Flagstaff campus.
