| As
a Psychology Major, you may choose to graduate with either a Bachelor
of Arts (B.A.) or a Bachelor of Science (B.S.), or an extended major
(either B.A. or B.S.). Both degree programs require a minimum
of 120 semester hours for completion and have the same liberal studies
requirements. To become a psychology major, please obtain
the forms from the SBS Advising Center (http://www.nau.edu/sbs/newadvising/).
The center employs psychology advisors who schedule and advise all
first year and second year majors as well as transfer students in
their first semester at NAU. Psychology faculty advise students
in their third-year and beyond. There are a variety of different
courses that the department offers and different plans you can follow
in order to reach your academic goals. The requirements for a B.A.
degree include a two-year college-level proficiency in a modern
language (including sign language) other than English. To view all
of the requirements for the B.A. or B.S. undergraduate degree in
Psychology, please consult the NAU On-Line Undergraduate Catalog
(http://www4.nau.edu/aio/AcademicCatalog/academiccatalogs.htm),
under which you matriculated. The SBS advising office has
prepared a suggested 4 year plan (we can get that pdf) that you
can download and use for scheduling help. |
