Psychology Scholarships!
Undergraduate Student Awards
NEW! The Virginia Blankenship Undergraduate Research Award

An award given to a selected undergraduate student(s) who requires financial support to present at research conference and who meet the following criteria:

Possess a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher;
Are currently enrolled as a junior or senior
Submit a one-page (2-3 paragraphs), paper describing your future educational goals and career objectives.
Submit unofficial transcripts
Submit copy of resume
Describe the research conference where you wish to present. Include dates and location. Attach copy of the abstract submitted and your acceptance notice if available.

Application materials for this awards is due to the Psychology Office (SBS 228) by March 1, 2008. Cash awards will be awarded to the winners by the end of the Spring 2008 semester.
NEW! The William Gibson Outstanding Student in Psychology and Public Service Award

This award shall be used to provide recognition of outstanding students who have demonstrated high academic standards and a desire to better the community through volunteer activity or public service and who meet the following criteria:

Possess a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher;
Are currently enrolled as a senior
Submit an essay (2 pages of less), explaining how their psychology studies and community involvement overlap, and the impact both experiences have made on their lives or future direction.
Submit unofficial transcripts
Submit copy of resume

Application materials for this award is due to the Psychology Office (SBS 228) by March 1, 2008. Cash awards will be awarded to the winners by the end of the Spring 2008 semester.

Vicki Green Psychology Award

This award has been established by Vicki Green to financially assist undergraduate psychology students in paying their Phi Kappa Phi initiation fee.

Apply for this scholarship award after being invited and agreed to join Phi Kappa Phi.
Graduate Student Awards

Vicki Green Psychology Thesis Award

This award was established by Vicki Green to financially assist NAU Psychology students in paying for their thesis research. The following criteria is required:

Psychology graduate student
Thesis proposal approved by the thesis committee and institutional review board
Submit demonstrated expenditures for the thesis

Selection of the amount of the award will be based on the thesis expenditures. Selection for the award will be made by a committee including the Department of Psychology Graduate Coordinator and the Chair of the Department of Psychology. Graduate students are notified by email three times a year when the application process is open.
