Professional
Interests Dr.
Dickson's current research interests focus on pedagogy (the method
and practice of teaching). In collaboration with colleagues, Dr Dickson
designs, implements, and publishes research studies examining the
effect of student learning aids and crib cards on exam performance
and student learning. |

Practicum.
Consistent with NAU's missions
to provide educational access to students and promote opportunities
for diverse student populations, Dr. Dickson teaches online and
in-person courses year-round, including Summer and Winter Sessions.
Dr Dickson's involvement with teaching
extends beyond the classroom, as she chairs Masters committees,
serves on Masters committees, directs independent studies, supervises
research experiences, and mentors countless students.
Dr Dickson was honored
to receive the Outstanding Teacher of the Year award in the College
of Social and Behavioral Sciences in 2000. |
