Personal Statement
Professional school applications present you with a blank page as an opportunity to reveal something about yourself to the members of the admissions committee. Many admissions committees place significant weight on your personal comments as it assists them in developing a greater understanding of you as an individual. Your personal statement is usually slightly over a page in length and is single spaced. It should answer the question "Why do you want to be a doctor (dentist, physician assistant, optometrist, etc.)" and "What have you done to prepare yourself for this profession?"
