To apply for the Conservation Ecology Graduate Certificate Program, a student must have an accredited bachelor’s degree and be admitted to the Graduate College.  General requirements for admission to the Graduate College are available in the Graduate Catalog. A completed application for admission includes:

• An Application for admission to the NAU Graduate College, with the required application fee ($45). Select the degree seeking application, and under options choose "Conservation Ecology".
• Transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate course work.
• A completed Application to the Conservation Ecology Graduate Certificate Program.
• Two Letters of Recommendation from academic or professional supervisors.
• A Statement of your interests and goals in conservation ecology, and your reasons for pursuing advanced coursework in this interdisciplinary program.
• A faculty member who has agreed to be your advisor. Please include this name in your statement and an explanation of why you want to work with this person.

Note: The first two items are to be sent to the Graduate College; the last three to CESE. 

Forms for application to the certificate program are also available from the CESE office (P.O. Box 5694, Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff AZ 86011). 

Applications to the Graduate College are also available through their office, located in the Ashurst Building on the NAU campus (P.O. Box 4125, Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff AZ 86011).

After completing the application process, we suggest that all applicants verify that their files are complete at both the Graduate College and at CESE.
