Colorado Plateau Resources
The Cline Library provides a rich array of archival and published material which documents the history and development of the Colorado Plateau in a variety of disciplines. The Library is committed to sharing this regional heritage, which consists of millions of items, with a global audience in support of education and enjoyment. Collection strengths include:
- Colorado River and Grand Canyon
- Native American history and culture (Four Corners area)
- Land use and the environment
- Economic development
Library resources also include the University Archives -- a collection which captures the story of over 100 years of higher education in northern Arizona -- and the archival collections of the Arizona Historical Society/Northern Division.

The Cline Library's Colorado Plateau Digital Archives currently provides access to thousands of vintage and contemporary photographs, diaries and letters, oral history interviews, films, and maps which document the history of the region and NAU.

Manuscript Inventory
Includes manuscript collections held at the Cline Library, as well as Arizona

Oral History
The Library's oral history collection contains nearly thirteen hundred interviews,
over two hundred of which are digitized and available through the Colorado
Plateau Digital Archives as well as the Arizona
Archives Online. The oral history collecting focus centers on issues and activities
related to Flagstaff and the Colorado Plateau, specifically northern Arizona and
the Grand Canyon.
Photograph Inventory
The Library's photographic holdings comprise over 800,000 images. This guide
provides basic descriptive, biographical and historical information about the
Cline Library's photographic holdings.

Files
Subject files consisting of newsclippings, brochures, reports, and ephemera
which pertain to the Colorado Plateau and Northern Arizona University.
